You can apply those kinds of concepts to natural evolution. Animals that live in areas that are safe, where they have a lot of food, caring for, and other things will be evolutionary different than the same animal that doesn't have those things. It's not magic. It's science.

Jut like a human who lives in a cave is evolutionary different from a human who lives on the coast. It comes down to genetics, too.
