Well, I'm not entirely sure how Mareep can produce electricity, but that's not really the strangest thing you'll see here.

But you can definitely get dragons or dogs. Sometimes people will sell eggs... though I think you can find dogs on the routes just outside of town.

Actually, I think most of the rocks have genders. Geodudes and Onixes do.

Oh, I think they're fairly normal-looking? They aren't quite as odd as the sheep, at least.

I think you can catch Geodude in a cave near Violet City. They're very strong Pokémon!

...But yes, most Pokémon have genders, even if it seems like they shouldn't.
