Journal Entry # 1 [Video/Action]
[Anyone who walks by or happens to be watching the network feed will see a frustrated kid siting on the grass and flipping through an old, battered journal.]
There isn't anything in this book about 'Pokémon'! Or how a sheep can produce electricity! That mom lady must have been a shape-shifter who didn't look anything like my mom... and that professor makes McGucket look sane...
[The gear moves towards the boy before it's tossed to the ground. Unfortunately, it lands face down, obscuring whatever threw it and the boy.]
Hey! Don't break that. We might need it later.

Frankly I'm not entirely convinced that anyone who isn't a "new arrival" are actually "alive", if you get my drift.
[Perry why are you encouraging this.]

[THIS MIGHT JUST BE WORSE THAN HE THOUGHT]
... are you saying this might be a dream? Or that we're dead and this is supposed to be some weird heaven?
[Text]
And no, I don't think it's anything like that.
I just think we might all be trapped in a video game.
[HOW IS THAT ANY BETTER?]
[Text]
Killer robots aren't that hard to fight if you know where to hit them.
[WHAT WHAT WHAT WHAT]
A video game?! HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?!
[Text]
Maybe a weird glitch or possibly someone made an invention that lets you go inside of a video game and it went awry.
I wasn't present for it but I have heard something like this happening before.
[Text]
If this is a video game, it's a pretty convincing one. We're not pixelated at all.

Is that the name of the town you were from?

[Text]
[Although... Perry couldn't say that he's really surprised that he's never heard of this place, since it's not like he has an encyclopedic knowledge of all the towns ever, even assuming that Gravity Falls exists in his world.]
Still it sounds like it's quite an adjustment to come from summer to late fall.
[Text]
Wait, does this mean I missed my birthday?
[Text]
Not really? I've heard that time passes differently here so that when you do go home, everything will be just as you left it.
[Text]
So I didn't miss it? Mabel would be mad at me if I did.
