Journal Entry # 1 [Video/Action]
[Anyone who walks by or happens to be watching the network feed will see a frustrated kid siting on the grass and flipping through an old, battered journal.]
There isn't anything in this book about 'Pokémon'! Or how a sheep can produce electricity! That mom lady must have been a shape-shifter who didn't look anything like my mom... and that professor makes McGucket look sane...
[The gear moves towards the boy before it's tossed to the ground. Unfortunately, it lands face down, obscuring whatever threw it and the boy.]
Hey! Don't break that. We might need it later.

[That's totally the same thing.]
Namine's really kind and gentle, she wouldn't hurt anybody at all, let alone Pokemon. So. Apologize to her, please.
video
[Call it like it is.]
Fine. Just stop lecturing me.
video
[A guy that would yell at girls over assumptions he made.]
And I'm not lecturing, I'm explaining on behalf of my sister. You flipped out on her over something without letting her explain, I'm here now explaining it. Don't you have a sister? Wouldn't you do that too?
video
[Have you never been picked on?
Also-]
My sister Mabel is good at explaining things on her own. She also does what you're doing now.
[Good thing she's not here.]
video
I'd guess Mabel is also better at being sensitive, because you're sure no good at it. Namine would have explained it just fine if you didn't flip out and scare her.
video
video
I'm sorry. It really is my fault. I should have explained it better.
video
N-No! I'm not mad at you! I'm sorry!

[She's still totally lost on how any of that could have been interpreted as animal abuse.]
Namine is the most gentle out of the three of us. If there's anybody you'd have to worry about doing...animal abuse? It's people in Team Rocket, and none of us are in Team Rocket.
video
Three?
[Wait... Triplets?]
Team Rocket? That sounds like a bad villain team from a Saturday morning cartoon.
video
[Yep, triplets.]
Um, they are? A villain team, anyway, I couldn't tell you about the morning cartoon thing. They steal Pokemon and...uh--[she whispers this part] there's been stories that they kill some of them.
video
Dipper wraps an arm around his Mareep, pulling Lamby closer.]
I see... so don't trust them.
video
[But it doesn't seem like he...trusts a whole lot in general.]
I can try and answer if you've got anything else you're wondering.
video
... how do they fit into the balls?
video
I'm not entirely sure, but it looks kind of like these balls can turn Pokemon into light and contain them inside. I don't really like keeping them in the balls, but sometimes it's safer for them--like if it's cold or something.
video
Hm... and there's no one that can explain how it happens?
video
But, um, the native people here don't talk in-depth to us very much. They just repeat the same stuff over and over again.
[Thus it's not just Namine's tendency towards being shy that caused her to flub explaining it, it's just...very difficult to explain in the first place.]
So we can try to explain it as much as we want, but honestly it's a mystery that a lot of us have given up trying to crack.
