[Dipper pops up on the network, looking unhappy and exhausted. And covered in dirt, leaves, and Meowstic fur.]

I decided to explore Ilex Forest due to the stories of a legendary Pokémon named Celebi. After a week of getting lost in these dense trees, I found the shrine. There's nothing special about it.

[Just going to pan around and show just how lost he is in these woods.]

I've found Pokémon, weird mushrooms, and my cat evolved. I've caught a balloon, a thing with a leaf on its head, and an owl. My PokéDex tells me those are a Drifloon, Chikorita, and a Hoothoot. There's other noteworthy Pokémon in this place, but no Celebi.

[Said cat pops up on the screen, and a male Meowstic waves at everyone.]

It's week three in this forest. Or so the calendar tells me. I may die in this forest unless I find a way out.

[The broadcast cuts out. Seems Dipper may have been trying to make something like an actual journal entry and in his exhaustion has posted to the network instead. Please save him. Or just give him directions out of there.]

Other than food, yes! I still have no idea where my Pokémon keep getting all of this food from.

[Or why they didn't just lead him out of the forest.]

That's a pretty important supply to run out of! But at least your Pokémon have been able to find food you can eat too. Sometimes mine forage, but they mostly just find berries.

They forage for themselves sometimes, they haven't had to do it for me yet!

Yes, no one's really wanted to try traveling in this weather.

But we've gotten to explore Sprout Tower and the Ruins some more. And I won a badge from the gym!

Thank you! I was a little worried going in, since Amber is a Bug type, but her electric half and all the training we did was more than enough!

I've been looking up type advantages, and I think by the time I'm ready, my Pokémon shouldn't have a problem with the gyms. I can always help you figure out good teams for your gym fights in the future!

That would be sensational, thank you! I've been trying to pay attention to type match-ups myself, but I'd love your input!

It's not that hard once you figure out if your Pokémon is a single type or a dual type! For example, my Metang is a steel and psychic type. So he's weak to fire for being steel. The psychic part of him is weak to dark, ground, and ghost, so he wouldn't really be good against any of those types. The great thing is that he's immune to poison. Everything else he's pretty resistant to. So I would avoid using him in battles where the Pokémon were what he was weak against. If I were to go to a poison type gym, which there isn't one in Johto, I could use him as a main or a backup against all of the Pokémon.

Absolutely! Like... Psychic types are strong against Fighting, but Steel is weak defensively to it, so you'd want to be cautious about using your Metang against Fighting types even though it's Psychic, right?

Exactly! It's probably better not to use Metang at all unless you have an effective move against Fighting types and a speed advantage.
