Journal Entry # 3 [Video]

[There's a Dipper on the screen who is trying not to look sad, and he's much more subdued than the past few videos. He seems to be on the outside of the Ruins of Alph. His Pokémon are seen trying to comfort a Xatu, who just.... is staring at the screen behind Dipper. Welcome to the party, Hitchcock.]

So my Grunkle Stan is gone. He wasn't there this morning when I woke up. I don't know if anyone will even miss him, but if you got any of his Pokémon... go ahead and keep them. I don't think I can take care of them all on my own. He left me with Misery.

[Which, for those who don't know the Persian, might sound like he's been left with literal misery.]

I'm gonna be at the Ruins of Alph for a while. If anyone wants to join me, let me know? Just going to explore it some more.

[The screen turns off. This boy needs some cheering up, or just a friend to come hang out with him.]

See? The apocalypse can be caused by anything... but it should be fine as we don't make the Legendarie's mad. Or one's that know Metronome.

Yes, but Metronome is terrifying! What if they use the move Magnitude?

What if a Pokémon who knows Magnitude uses Magnitude. Look, they don't want the world to end, either, and they've been doing this for a long time. I think they know how to keep things generally on the level.

Actually, some of the Legendaries hate each other so much that they would destroy this world without a second thought. Like Palkia and Dialga. Kyogre and Groudon, too!

Like, okay, you say that, but I'm noticing a whole lot of the world still standing. If people know enough about their hateboners to put it on the books, don't you think probably they've clashed before now? And the ground's still here.

That's because the ancient race here sealed them. If someone got a hold of the right items to free them, then everything will go wrong!

The original or the Branden Fraser remake?

Hey, I've seen both! They both have their unique charms even if the original is in black and white!

Okay. So is there a significant difference between the two plotwise, anyway?

Not the main plot. Just details, side stories, that kind of thing. They change things to appeal to modern audiences.

Wait, is the chick still a wicked foxy badass in the old one?

Not really. She's more of a damsel in distress.

They didn't know better back then. They didn't have CG or anything, so they had to make it dramatic somehow.

What about explosions, though. I know they had pyrotechnics back then, they weren't living in caves.

There is none. Not in horror movies back then.

The original is! The new one is just all about explosions, past lives, and Branden Fraser.

Well, two good points out of three isn't bad.

Explosions and Fraser, obviously.

Hmmm... you know, I'm trying to think of a movie that's similar to The Mummy that can apply to this subject...
