Journal Entry # 3 [Video]

[There's a Dipper on the screen who is trying not to look sad, and he's much more subdued than the past few videos. He seems to be on the outside of the Ruins of Alph. His Pokémon are seen trying to comfort a Xatu, who just.... is staring at the screen behind Dipper. Welcome to the party, Hitchcock.]

So my Grunkle Stan is gone. He wasn't there this morning when I woke up. I don't know if anyone will even miss him, but if you got any of his Pokémon... go ahead and keep them. I don't think I can take care of them all on my own. He left me with Misery.

[Which, for those who don't know the Persian, might sound like he's been left with literal misery.]

I'm gonna be at the Ruins of Alph for a while. If anyone wants to join me, let me know? Just going to explore it some more.

[The screen turns off. This boy needs some cheering up, or just a friend to come hang out with him.]

[Stan Pines, a mayor. Don't be ridiculous, Dipper. What next, a brainwashing necktie?]

Do they even have mayors here? The closest I've seen to any actual authority figures are the Gym Leaders and those police-women who all look alike.

Maybe? Or they could be-

[Stopping for a second.]

They could be robots, maybe? The Atlesian Knights from home aren't a police force and definitely don't look human at ALL, but they all look the same!

That... wouldn't be bad, would it? I mean, they do-

[Okay, they're kind of terrible at handling crime by any rational metric, but this is Pokéworld.]

...they do what the locals seem to think their jobs should be, at least.
