[There's a Dipper on the screen who is trying not to look sad, and he's much more subdued than the past few videos. He seems to be on the outside of the Ruins of Alph. His Pokémon are seen trying to comfort a Xatu, who just.... is staring at the screen behind Dipper. Welcome to the party, Hitchcock.]

So my Grunkle Stan is gone. He wasn't there this morning when I woke up. I don't know if anyone will even miss him, but if you got any of his Pokémon... go ahead and keep them. I don't think I can take care of them all on my own. He left me with Misery.

[Which, for those who don't know the Persian, might sound like he's been left with literal misery.]

I'm gonna be at the Ruins of Alph for a while. If anyone wants to join me, let me know? Just going to explore it some more.

[The screen turns off. This boy needs some cheering up, or just a friend to come hang out with him.]

Pitcher plants give off a really bad smell that draws insects in. They're usually upside down, like a pitcher for water, and their juices inside are pretty toxic.

Oh, like Venus flytraps. Except rancid, I guess. That explains the Poison typing. Still doesn't sound world-ending.

No, none of the forms are like a Venus flytrap. Venus flytraps can open and close themselves. Pitcher plants just have an open mouth at all times. There is a Pokémon like a Venus flytrap in this world and it's called Carnivine.

And they could too end the world. Any of these Pokémon have the potential.

[Dave lifts one eyebrow, then turns his video feed to show a Rufflet in the background. It's trying to eat the shoelace on a boot Dave's not wearing right now.]

You can't tell me this brainless asshole can end the world.

I was gonna keep defending my position, but actually, you're right, there's a shit ton of things in the world that're just apparently aching to end it, so who am I to tell you that a semi-sentient stickbug can't. You win, dude. You win.

Yes, but Metronome is terrifying! What if they use the move Magnitude?

What if a Pokémon who knows Magnitude uses Magnitude. Look, they don't want the world to end, either, and they've been doing this for a long time. I think they know how to keep things generally on the level.

Actually, some of the Legendaries hate each other so much that they would destroy this world without a second thought. Like Palkia and Dialga. Kyogre and Groudon, too!

Like, okay, you say that, but I'm noticing a whole lot of the world still standing. If people know enough about their hateboners to put it on the books, don't you think probably they've clashed before now? And the ground's still here.

That's because the ancient race here sealed them. If someone got a hold of the right items to free them, then everything will go wrong!
